Auditing occupational health and safety
The most important figures in organising occupational health and safety are the General Director of the company and the managers who manage risks.
The lack of an occupational health and safety management system can involve multiple risks to the employer and company officials, the most significant of which are the following:
- The suspension of a company’s activities for 90 days
- Disqualification of the executive
- The imposing of penalties on the company of up to 600,000 roubles for each employee
- The removal of all employees, who have not undergone briefing, from their work
BLS is an expert in carrying out audits of occupational health and safety management systems, as we administrate these systems in multiple companies with workforces ranging from 12 to 2,000 people, located in 62 regions of Russia, with whom we successfully conduct inspections of the State Labour Inspectorate, the Social Security Fund of the Russian Federation and the Russian State Fire Service.
An occupational health and safety management system audit from BLS includes the following stages:
STAGE 1: Negotiation on capacity and the signature of an agreement
STAGE 2: Collection of information at the customer’s office and sites
STAGE 3: Processing of information and the drawing up of an expert solution
STAGE 4: Presentation of the outcomes of the audit at the customer’s office
