People are in danger!” This is how the Labour Inspectorate has spoken of workplaces in our country!  Chapter 10 of the Labour Code of the Russian Federation obliges each employer to organise a system of occupational health safety at the workplace as well as to train and brief employees.   In addition, a system of occupational health and safety should be put in place regardless of where the office or workplace is located, whether it is in a first-class business centre or in a basement and regardless of whether 20,000 people work in the company or 2,000.

The lack of a system of occupational health and safety can involve multiple risks, the most dangerous of which are the following:

  • The suspension of a company’s activities for 90 days
  • Disqualification of the executive
  • The imposing of penalties on the company of up to 110,000 - 130,000 roubles for each employee
  • The removal of all employees, who have not undergone briefing, from their work (while still maintaining their salaries)
